She was introduced to Pilates at a critical juncture of her life. Developing from an obese child to a morbidly obese young adult, Jo completely reclaimed her body by making one small change at a time in her diet and integrating exercise into her lifestyle. Jo Ann has a particular appreciation for Pilates in the way it helps to lessen the long term effects of obesity, such as joint stress, poor body mechanics, and weakened core muscles.
